Size: 4to – over 9¾” – 12″ tall Oblong. Un-paginated. Red cloth boards with gilt titles and decorative front boards; gilt top edge. Both volumes have moderate rubbing and soiling to boards with edges partially frayed. Contents of Volume 1 are in near fine condition; bright with an occasional light thumb mark. Volume 2 has a small closed tear to blank free endpaper. Hinges are weakened with partial cracking in Volume 2; pages remain secure and are bright with an occasional light mark. There is a repairable tear to back strip of Volume 2. Overall in very good condition. Eleven Volumes In Two; Illustrated with approximately 800 full-page drawings by one of the finest illustrators of the time.
