Folio up to 15″ tall., 1600pp., Volume 1: 2 plates and double page frontispiece; Volume 2: 13 plates; Volume 3: 6 plates; Volume 4: 12 plates. Titles printed in red and black; plates finished by hand and some of which are highlighted with gilt Bound in brown cloth. Light foxing to a few plates. Boards have rubbing and loss of cloth to upper edges and spine. A very good set of this seminal work by Sir Nicholas Harris Nicolas (1799–1848), a noted antiquary and genealogist.
