Eugene Allen Hackman (1930-2025) was an American actor and novelist. In a career that spanned six decades, he received two Academy Awards, two British Academy Films Awards and four Golden Globes. Together with undersea archaeologist Daniel Lenihan, Hackman wrote three historical fiction novels and two additional solo novels.
