Lindsay Evans was an American born artist born in 1891 In his early life, he studied with A.Y. Jackson in Quebec (1905-1906), moving later to Western Canada where he had a successful career as an artist. Evans painted oil and watercolour landscapes and portraits; his work is found in galleries and museums across Canada.
