A Churchillian satire based on Alice in Wonderland, with Winnie Churchill as Alice on a visit to London and The House of Lords. “A heavily satirical spoof of Parliament and Churchill that wields an imitation Lewis Carroll along with an arsenal of corrosive cartoons. Waghorne and Wilson slash away arguably across the entire spectrum from conservatives to liberals, although some observers may detect bloodier wounds amongst the perceived lords struggling to maintain traditional powers.” (Churchill: A Concise Bibliography, compiled by Buckley Barry Barrett, Greenwood Press, London, 2000; Works About Churchill #19, p174.).
David Wilson was a well-known and prolific political cartoonist, caricaturist, illustrator and painter.
