Patterned cloth boards with black titles and emblem, top edge blue. A few tiny foxing dots to outside foredge; ghost mark to pastedown from jacket flap and otherwise fine without marks, tears or folds. Binding is tight and boards have little wear. Unclipped jacket has rubbing, chipping to tail and head of spine and closed tear front lower edge. Black Jacket was a series of smaller format books published by Hodder and Stoughton 1937-1947.
