In French. 312 pages & 254 pages. Half bound red leather with marbled boards, gilt spine titles, marbled endpapers.  Light edge wear and rubbing; light toning of pages. There are no tears or folds. Both volumes have a round 1cm  book dealer’s sticker top of pastedown and a neatly inked name on half title; no other markings or tears. First published in 1866, Les Travailleurs de la Mer is set just after the Napoleonic Wars and deals with the impact of the Industrial Revolution upon the island.
