4to – over 9¾” – 12″ tall. Pebbled black leather boards with gilt titles, charted endpapers, red edges. Gilt name of company, J. C. Irons, Vancouver, B.C. to front boards. Contents are fine without markings, tears or folds with light foxing to preliminary blank pages and title page. Front hinge of Volume I very lightly weakened. Boards have some rubbing particularly to edges; split to top hinge line of Volume 2 with light loss of leather. In very good condition.

Includes details of ships, including cargo, size and weight of ships, departure and arrival times in columns and other shipping information. This set was published in the year of the great stock market crash that launched the worldwide Great Depression.
