Robert Walker is a renowned Canadian photographer whose work has been exhibited internationally. He lived for 10 years in New York photographing the city. In 1979, the first results of this work were exhibited in Paris by Robert Delpire at his gallery Nouvel Observateur in a two-person show with Lynne Cohen called Silences et Stridences. In 1984, Oxford University Press published a full-length book of these photographs. .
