George Fuisdale Jowett (1891-1969) was an English-born Canadian strongman and weightlifter winning more than 300 medals. He was a co-founder of the American Continental Weightlifting Association, the editor of Strength magazine, and the president of the Jowett Institute. He became known as “The Father of American Weightlifting”. He authored several books with titles such as The Key to Might And Muscle, Molding Mighty Legs, Molding a Mighty Chest, Molding a Mighty Back, Molding a Mighty Grip, Molding Mighty Arms. The postcards in the rear of this booklet are for the booklet entitled “The Thrill of Being Strong”.
