“On May 23rd 1960 Adolf Eichmann’s arrest in Argentina by an Israeli Commando Unit was announced, and a fifteen year search, for the man described by his fellow Nazis at the Nuremberg Trials as the originator and executor of the master-plan to exterminate wholesale every Jew in Europe, was over.” Moise Pearlman, writer and first Israeli Defence Forces Spokesperson, graphically describes the pursuit and capture of Eichmann. As a newspaper correspondent in November 1946, Pearlman interviewed, SS Sturmfuehre Dieter Wislicent, before Wislicent was executed for his war crimes. In these interviews, Wislicent relayed much of the workings of the Jewish Affairs Office of the Gestapo, and wrote a note, which he gave the author, affirming his conviction that Eichmann was still alive. 001491 $50
