Volume is in fine, unread condition; slipcase is structurally fine with light scuffing. First published in 1958, this edition includes the author’s Preface which first appeared in the 1993 reissue. The Greengage Summer is Rumer Godden’s tense, evocative portrait of love and deceit in the Champagne country of the Marne and the basis for the 1961 film starring Kenneth More and Susannah York.
