The History of Don Quixote, Cervantes. Published by Peter Fenelon Collier, New York, Circa 1900 (undated). Illustrated by Gustave Dore; Text edited by J.W. Clark; Biographical notice of Cervantes by T. Teignmouth Shore.  Collier’s Library of Standard Authors Vol III. 4to – over 9¾” – 12″ tall. 480 pages with nearly 400 fine engravings by Dore. Green cloth boards with elaborate bind stamped scrolling and gilt titles front and spine; text and illustrations on very thin paper. Hinge line between title and facing page partially cracked; all pages remain attached. Occasional foxing marks, 2 tiny closed tears fore-edge of title and first page of contents.  Gilt is rubbed on spine and boards have moderate wear and soiling.  002621 $50
