Forest green boards with gilt panelled boards, gilt medallion front board and blindstamped to rear, gilt spine titles, dark brown endpapers. In very nice condition: penciled name to half-title page with light toning to text block; otherwise, contents are in clean, unmarked condition. Contemporaneous small bookseller label: James Maclehose, Bookseller, 61 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow. Binding is firm, boards have some wear with rubbing to edges, most pronounced front lower corner.
