Rich tan leather with gilt ruled borders, banded spine with elaborate gilt design, board edges with filigreed gilt design, black leather label with gilt title; all page edges marbled; marble endpapers. Contents are in fine condition and appear unread; binding is tight and secure. Boards have light scratching; leather is creased with a light dent to upper front board; rubbing and fraying to corner edges; head of spine has tiny split. A beautifully bound early edition of this classic novel.
