Dated from contemporaneous inscription to pastedown with date of 1863. . 64mo up to 3″ tall. 112pp. Brown cloth boards with beveled edges, decorative gilt borders with gilt titles front and spine, rear board with decorative blind-stamped borders, all edges gilt, dark brown endpapers. Light green borders framing text block. Tipped in page at front explaining: “The type (‘Brilliant’) from which this book is printed, is the smallest movable type in the world. Dedication page: “To all true smokers, of every land and clime, this work is respectively dedicated by the editor.” In very good condition.
