The first book by an Angel about the Hell’s Angels. Frank Reynolds was the secretary of the San Francisco Hell’s Angels. His account to McClure gives a history of his acid trips, his fond love for his fellow gang members, and his journey in finding and losing religion. Michael McClure was an American poet, playwright, songwriter, and novelist. After moving to San Francisco as a young man, he found fame as one of the five poets who read at the famous San Francisco Six Gallery reading in 1955, which was rendered in barely fictionalized terms in Jack Kerouac’s The Dharma Bums.
