This profusely illustrated publication focuses on works created by artists between 1858 and 1950 and chronicles the views and experiences of some of the country s most accomplished artists. Through their sketches, drawings, watercolours and prints, a sense of the region with its urban and rural constituencies emerges and speaks to the uniqueness and sense of place that has since become known as British Columbia.
