Blue cloth boards, gilt front and spine titles, rough cut edges; top edge blue. Title page in blue ink. Contents:  General Editor’s Forward, Chief Events and Dates in The Journal, Introduction and Index. 35 illustrations including colored portrait frontispiece with tissue guard.  This very rare copy is in near fine condition. Light wear to boards, blue 2.5 cm mark to pastedown, light toning  to endpapers; otherwise in fine condition without marks, tears or folds. Pages are white and clean; binding is firm. Jeffery Amherst ‘s  journal was discovered in 1925 and is of significant historical importance.  002057                        $700
