Unclipped dustjacket has one tiny chip top spine edge and a few small closed tears along jacket edges; scuffing to back. Volume is in near fine condition: very light toning of glossy pages outside of text blocks and illustrations; there is a slight ruffling on the final few pages. Francisco Diaz de Leon was one of the most influential modern artists (b. Mexico, 1897-1975) in 20th century Mexico. One of the leaders in the break from academic art, he co-founded the Open Air Schools (Escuelas de Pintura de Aire Libre), Circulo de Artistas Independientes, 30-30!, Sindicato de Pintores, Escultores y Grabadores Revolucionarios de México.
